I’m building a new house. It will be roughly 1750 soft with large open concept kitchen living room area. I’ll be primarily heating with an owb and will have a fireplace for supplement. What do you recommend for brand. I have napoleon, Jøtul, Lopi, and arch Guard at the local dealer and would like to stick within those options.

Every year my largest customer buys from me six to seven truckloads of ash, oak, walnut, hard maple, birch, and locust. I mix them all up prior to delivery. This Lopi is the stove he uses.

This is the stove I would like to use. The lopi large hybrid insert.

This is the style of fireplace I would like, but off the ground with a nice hearth stone. I like the look of stained wood over stone or brick.

Check the reviews on hearth.com I think some of the new lopi hybrid stoves have had warped baffles and cracks at the cat. Jotul seems to make a solid product.

I thought this would be the easier to reside on, compared to the owb’s I’m looking at.

We have been really happy with ours. My brotherinlaw runs the same one and we heat our house in Montana most the year with it. The bigger the better.
