I’ve heard the 7910 cylinder has different transfer timing than the 7900 to work with the SLR muffler. Wondering if anyone can confirm this?

I never noticed more than 2 degrees difference in the jugs. I had a 7900 and 3 7910 jugs to compare at one time.

Just wondering why they did the solo jug like that and the dolmar jug differently? I matched my 7900 lowers to the base, might grind that wall back if I go back in. The saw runs well with good torque so I’m tempted to leave it alone... for now.

Solo was trying to have the baddest 80cc out there. After they and Dolmar split after working together on those saws they got 1mm extra stroke and the cylinder is much better matched to the piston and case it seems.

After I converted my 665 to 681 using 7900 Dolmar cyl. I wish I had spent the IIRC $25.00 difference and ordered the 681 cyl. kit from Solo. I bought 2 7900's when Baileys had them for $189.00 free ship. You know how long ago that was.

I am a believer in matching those lowers to the case now, I did that and widened the intake/exhaust. Saw feels as strong or stronger than our stock 390xp. I’m just a hack so I can only imagine the power you guys with real porting skills and machine work can get out of these things.

It made a big difference when I did it on the 7910 jug on a Solo case
