D276 McCulloch -> K095 sm Husky?

K095 has an 8.2mm bar stud slot

Can I open a D276 8mm slot to work on a husky?

Hey Fred, you will probably have to drill an oil hole also. The D276 oils through the adjuster hole. But you might get lucky and not have to. 0.2mm difference is roughly .008" so it might fit on the studs with only a few swipes with a good file.

I have carbide end Mills, no worries on putting an oil hole in if needed.

I have a PP 365 show up at my house wearing a D176. I'm glad it was a project saw cuz the lack of oiling made a seal hawt.

You probably won't have to open the slot at all. The tail is wider on the d276. An oil hole is going to be necessary.

I just bought one of these from eBay and tried it on a dolmar 5100 and it fit. Just needs the oil hole drilled

Good drill bit will work for the hole, shouldn't need carbide. I modified a couple GB echo mount bars to k095 not long ago.

Carbide bits to work good to widen the slot if necessary.

So I gotta kind of ask why are you doing this?

I only ask because the of the funky dl count that comes with the D276/D176 bars.

Maybe I'm missing something cool?
