Chainsaw dies and bogs at half throttle

Couldnt really find much about this anywhere.

So my neighbour's Stihl 028 bogs and dies after holding a throttle half engaged. After that it wont accelerate for few seconds until it get fuel in the carb again (i suppose) / or has to be started choked.

Idles fine and four strokes at no load steadily.

Found only one small thread where it said that richening L might help, but it doesnt in this case.

I'd start with a new fuel filter and possibly a fuel line. Those 028s were fitted with the fuel filters that have the foam inserts, and that foam breaks down over time.

Chainsaw is actually at my place, as i fixed some stuff.
I mean, if that was my saw id try every single think that comes on my mind, but dont feel too comfortable with somone other's thing.

Checked fuel line for ruptures, intact. Filter was replaced not too long ago.
But do 028s usually have really short fuel lines? Filter on this one hangs and barelly touches bottom of the fuel tank.

Tried raising metering lever even more, AND now bog is almost unnoticeable and it doesnt die!!

Someone fidgeted before me and screwed up lever, now it must be adjusted differently

Was that metering lever metal or plastic?
It's almost like they take a set over time.

Metal, ill suggest him to get new carb kit.
