The only Reason I didn’t mention Randy is because he stopped taking used saws. He’s new or nothing now.

I still do lightly used saws. But no rebuilds.

Don’t get this statement. Rev limited 880. If it where Me. I’d put a 361 coil on it to fix that problem.

I think you'll find he means the Rev limited 880 saw, is going to be rebuilt.

Either way it's going to be, fixed to be a muscle saw

Unfortunately, you need to replace a few parts to do the new 880 right. They are really choked up from the factory.

1. MS361 coil to get rid of the pathetically low rev limiter
2. Intake boot
3. Carb
4. Am I missing anything?

So on this note Brad, does this rev limiting and restrictions on the intake boot etc apply to an old 084 too? I am just about to start a rebuild with 95% clean and useable parts (as far as I can tell so far)

I was pretty sure although a few parts are the same that they are a completely different kettle of fish to the 088 and 880's.

There is one limited coil for the 084. Not as common to have it instead of the unlimited.
