So he is Husky + Chevy, and I'm Stihl + Ford, and we are both happy, so there you go, there is more than one way to skin a cat.

The best part was when I brought my Mustang in for some work, and a lady comes out of the showroom and says "I want one of them"!!! Priceless!!!

He got that shop in order, they do good work. And, one of his top mechanics is mostly a Stihl guy, but he likes the old stuff.

My 2149 is a special saw to me. It was my best friend's and BIL who tragically died several years ago. I want to get that built eventually as he would have liked that.

So had an impulse purchase today. Found a power equipment place that was closing and had one new Dolmar branded saw left. Picked up some Dolmar branded Bar oil and pre mix, along with 20" and 24" bar.
So @huskihl will have 2 saws to mod.

Sadly mine are not all runners, but now that life has finally slowed down just a bit maybe I can have more of a life and get everything cutting lol.

Plated Beta 300rr 2 stroke, Mid engine street rail with 180hp efi air cooled vw, overseas komatsu pc35, and 96 12valve 5spd 4x4 dually with 4.10, oh yeah my poor 16ft dump trailer that gets beat on, loading excavator with out ramps, always hauling 5 ton material loads, poor trailer lol.

Man I’m behind, I’ve only got 5 saws and only 3 of them are running. It’s been a struggle lately, forcing myself not to buy any more saws and putting the money towards an engine swap in my truck instead. The problem is I’ve come down with a case of CAD and I can’t stop looking at the classifieds every day. Hopefully I’ll have the truck done in a couple months and then I can start chipping away at my long wish list.

What motor swap? Love old Fords...more splines in drivetrain, high pinion front diffs, coil suspension, twin I beam for desert racing, 60s Broncos.... etc... so many things beefier or ahead of thier time.

The 12 valve makes me real happy. I miss the 12er I had. And the 24 valve 6 speed truck...
