Bad day

We got hit with some pretty serious storms, with 70mph-80mph straight line winds over the weekend.
An older couple up the road from me had what was a bad day, but could have been a lot worse.
A pretty good size tree top snapped off and took the front porch off of their house and punched a few good size holes in the roof.
If the tree had gone over at the base, the damage would have been catastrophic.
I stopped by today see if they needed help removing the tree but no one was there. I’ll try again tomorrow.

I'd say they were fortunate. This heats been causing some serious storms. In truth though, it's a combo of hot and cold mixing.

Same thing happened at my house last week with a large tree. Missed my house tho. Me and 3 neighbors bucked it in 2 hours. So that was cool. Hope they get it worked out quickly.
