I am looking forward to Husqvarna adding to there five series saws a 70-75cc version could be a really great saw. Anyone else interested in one of these and heard anything about them?

Haha yes true but im referring to the 550 562 build designs. I would like to see a 70-75cc version of those chassis. Id rather have a 372 than a 576 and hoping a new 572xp will be a good enough saw to replace them both

I thought Bob was bringing one to the Upstate NY GTG, but it was a false alarm! Seems like that saw has been rumored in development forever. Ditto for the similar Stihl. The 441 is out of production, and the 461 is not M-Tronic and still has the old AV. Then, new versions of the 261 & 362 show up w/o any rumors!
Go figure!

IMO, the M-Tronic version of the 441 and Autotune version of the 576 are just too heavy.

Hopefully they do it right this time. As we all know, the last time they tried to replace the 372's with the 575 it was a catastrophic failure. Given their lessons learned with the 562, I've got a feeling that when the 572 does debut it's going to be a game changer just like the 562 is now. Better get a 390 while you still can.

I wonder if there's any Canadian saw heads on here that got their hands on one and could share the experience.

Some Canadians have seen a 90cc replacement out testing as well. Guy said he was at a faller certification and seen one it with a 36" stihl bar.

I have heard about that as well, but I don't hold my breath....

With the failure of the MS661 in the PNW, it looks like Husky sell a lot of the old +/- 90cc models anyway at the moment.

Anyway, I don't believe 90cc saws are major sellers, but it is of course tempting to make a 90cc as well, once you have developed a new 70cc one. It took some time with the 371/372 and the 385/390 though.

XP SLINGER why better get a 390 while you still can are they being discontinued or something? If its just from the 590 that's eventually due out to replace it I think time is still on our side....

True, but the trend is established. Were it not for the rocky start the 575 had, I believe that the 372 would have been long gone by now, even though it still exists as a strato XT design currently. Remember, there was a couple of years the 372 was NLA. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they already have a working "590" prototype in testing as we speak as Mike eluded to. They can't be caught with their pants down when the next round of EPA mandated product line emissions standards come out.

The engineers already have the prototype. I'm assuming it's already done and is now getting prepped for the fine tuning after being passed around the epa boardroom like a cheap eastern European prostitute.

If you can lay hands on a 2014 Husqvarna catalog ,there's a picture of a guy cutting with a 572 ,or maybe it's a 590 .
Either way , it's a saw that isn't in the current line up . Very interesting looking .
