Does anyone know what the gap thickness is for the valves? I know stihl makes a kit, but if I can figure out the thickness I can use a valve gap tool I already have.

I suggest you get the repair kit ..hassle free plus the cork gasket and copper washer comes with it. Here there less that £10.00 and its a good idea to scrap the gasket and washer when you do the top end IMO.

Think I may have given a confusing post. I did mean by "scrapping the Gasket and Washer "....put the new ones from the kit on when doing a top end ..dump the old.
