372 impulse fitting

Hey guys

Hope everybody's having a good day.

So I was doing a vac and pressure test on a 372 I recently put together. Wouldn't hold both.

I get the old trusty soap and water and find the culprit, the impulse metal fitting that goes directly into the crankcase. It's leaking all around right by the case.

Anybody know how these are supposed to be installed ? Is it just a friction fit or is some kind of adhesive used ?

I believe it's a friction fit with maybe some red Loctite on it.
