Having looked at many IPL etc I am convinced that this SX72 is a Zenoah G5200. The question now for me, is it really 72cc? Is it possible to put a 272, 372 top end on that saw? Which Husqvarna was the Zenoah G5200? Pics coming.

The sx72 is a g5200 style case with a g621 style cylinder.

Made in china.com
80.00 per saw plus shipping?
No idea never bought from them
50-70cc?View attachment 110879

Those look like they have a zenoah g5200 style cylinder. It would be very interesting to get one to see the inner workings.

Update
They still together
Using the big bore 272/372 mostly
When i built it i didn't have a caber
So i used a hyway ring
Had a few china rings fail no more for me.
Pistons have been good.
It made it three gallons or so then started
Losing comp.
So i replaced it with a caber.
Lost a muffler bolt just like a real husky20180510_185913.jpg 20180510_184848.jpg 20180509_130115.jpg 20180509_125916.jpg 20180508_172848.jpg

After about 8 years of use, my Chinese big bore is developing an air leak. No problems cutting, it only happens if I put the saw down on the ground and the vertical crank vibrations start allowing air past the seals. It probably needs new main bearings and seals.

I'm too lazy to work on it, I just lay the saw on its side so the saw can move horizontally with the crank vibrations.

When it gets bad enough that I need to do something about it, I'll have to make the decision whether to fix it or buy another Chinese saw and swap over the bits I want to keep. If I can pick up another Chinese saw for A$230, then I'll go that route.

Damn, I just checked prices and I won't be able to get another saw for A$230. The short block with 372 jug is $108, however there is a big bore kit with crank, bearings, clutch, gaskets, etc. for $120.

I don't want to split the cases, I might have to go with the short block.

@Czed where are you buying these? Ive looked all over for them. Is the$81.25 a shortblock 372? Im more interested in the complete kit or assembled complete saw. I was under the impression your hunsavarqua saws you had were complete assemblew saws. Unsure if they were pho or not. Assembled saws? Complete saw kit? Or shortblock?

I like the 365 clone as it is a proven design and if something breaks then parts are readily available. The Chinese 365 comes with an open-port 65cc jug, but it is a cheap upgrade to the 77cc Big Bore. Mine runs a modded Zama, twin spikes and a 24" Total bar with an 8-pin. It works well and I'll stay with that design rather than some other design I'm unfamiliar with.

I see that if I ordered 10 of the 365s from Alibaba that I could get them for US$90 apiece. Crikey, imagine that, instead of one saw for $900 you could get 10!

Here's the Husqvarna catalog for Australia. The 365 is no longer available, but it will give you an idea about how expensive saws are in Oz.

https://www.husqvarna.com/au/products/chainsaws/

Using a 365 short block for A$108 to fix the air leak and put in a fresh crank makes a lot of sense when you look at those prices.

The 85cc what is that a clone of? Are they similar to regular ol huskies?
Wish i knew they seem to be based on the 365/372 chassis for the sx82cc
And possibly the 390 for the sx92
I can't find anyone to ship me one.
Found this on ebay
I emailed the seller to see if he ships to the U.S.

I fairly recently put one of this together, runs great, only issues I am having is the clutch seems to slip under heavier load, if I let it rpm in the cut it’s fine, but if it dogs in, chain stops but the engine still pulling, is this common? And the chain break dose work the greatest, it is functional just isn’t holding 100%. Do you think it is a clutch or drum issue?

Haven't had that happen to any of mine.
Lot's of cutting
I bought an extra clutch and drum.
Wasn't much 15.00
Haven't used it.
Check it
If it's slipping that much
I would just replace both.
