Around .30 give or take even though it's a mahle they all vary of course the huztls have large squish on all them.
2.93 huztl website pistons they are pretty nice especially for the price.
So what pistons are what? left to right - 268 (tighter squish in 372 cylinder), 268 (loose squish like a stock 372) and 372xp (standard piston)?

So is that .30 off the crown, nothing touched on the skirt of the 268?

Prepaid credit cards is what i used to use it just takes a few minute's to set up my paypal account in thousands of purchases no issues at all.

Ahhhh prepaid credit card, should have thought of that. They can steal those numbers all they want after I've used it and i just won't matter. Good thinking.

So is this 0.30mm, 0.030" or 0.30"

You mentioned 0.30 which I took as 'inches' which is around 7mm???

Looks more like half a mil to me off the 268 piston?

Either way I am interested in this idea :)

Why are you guys not cutting a pop up on those 268 pistons, leaving the base gasket in to keep stock timing, getting 180-190 lbs of comp. with that lite piston.

This is my plan. Just ordered a OEM gasket and will be rummaging for some solder to measure my OEM piston squish, so that I can calculate what to turn off the 268 piston. :D

Ran 4 tanks through 1 today dropping ash and hickory off the fence line.
feels like the ring seated running great another reason i prefer the fullwraps is when adding fuel or oil it will set flat with the tank up.
I don't flush cut often i know they get in the way for that most prefer half wrap for that around here.20170522_162650.jpg 20170522_160853.jpg 20170522_162612.jpg

Hope it's running as good as this one Dave.

I'd love to have one of those but there is only a couple left lol
I'm very happy with mine i had to be careful facing small tree's it just slices right through them.
I'm still hoping to get a 272 clone i don't know why but the companies I've talked to don't ship to the us it's funny i can get just about any other saw i want that they have kits for just can't get a 272 or 440 a 381 several places have offered to ship.

Guess I'll just have to dig deeper into my loggers junk pile and build some more 272's for folks.

Well I did throw a few more carbs at the 372. Sorry no videos.
First was remodded stock......dud
Second was a reworked Zama that had issues before but retried it......did
Third was a modded rebuilt Zama that ram good stock so I did some drilling and filling on it....ran good other than through transition.... it fust wasn't clean like I wanted....meh
Fourth and last I found a modded AM twin jet in my drawer....no makings other than jet size so I thought might as well..... BEST CARB YET!!! This carb just edged out the Modded Solo Walbro. Really great throttle, great transition and very good adjustable top end!! This carb acted like it was on a Dolmar....the more you richened the H the faster it ran....well until it started to blubber then just backed it off a touch. Tried leaning it out at first and saw just wouldn't run and really lacked power.
This carb was drilled 30/40/55 with a plugged High blead hole. That was the same I had drilled the Zama to that didn't transition well. Thinking about changing some springs to see if I can iron that issue out on it.

What's with the plugged High bleed hole? Are you closing off the second air bleed hole in the transition circuit?

EDIT: That video that Stump Shot posted of Lasse Stradel. Note that the carb is not a Walbro, it's a Zama. I understand that Walbros came stock on those 372, but it looks like the factory wonks modded a Zama to put on the factory ported saw.

We got to find a source for some more twin jet carbs. Maybe a message to Alibaba (big Chinese distributor) with some pictures of the inside of the carb might reveal a source.

Oh, now I know, you are closing off the extra jet drilled in the back of the main discharge nozzle, that makes sense. Crikey, from your first description I thought it was the front AIR BLEED in the transition circuit.

Rich, I looked at Ebay and saw a bunch of different carbs for the 365. The Zama clones all have the chrome choke plate with the single air bypass hole drilled in it. Did those alleged Zama clones you got come with the chrome choke plate or were they brass?

The throttle cable guide is also made with WHITE plastic on the good Zama clones.

I wish they would show a picture of the INSIDE of the carb!
