I was looking at a set today. They were still new in the package. The kit included both larger dogs, the chain catcher and all the bolts. The part number is 537043701

Did you know about the Jonsered westcoast clutch cover kit? It's a wider cover with a larger, longer rubber chip deflector and decal. That part number is 537331002

Thanks, wonder how much wider the cover actually is? That’d be nice for noodling

I think it’s the same thing as a newer 390 clutch cover. I think at some point they switched to having the wider cover standard on 390’s.

I know they list 2 options for the 2188’s yet. I never looked at the 390 options
Same thing most likely. Just red instead of orange.

How large of dogs are you looking for? 20170916_125040.jpgthese are on a 2188 shouldn't they fit a 2171 too?
And does anyone have a west cost cover vs normal cover?

I just bought three of the covers. They were about eighty bucks each. I wanted to get them now before Jonsered was gone.

The larger dogs that were pictured above are of the part number that I posted. They are the same size the came on my 372xpw.

They’d be the same, I wish there was a size in between yours and the stock ones!

Not really, those 4 pt pro safety ones look smaller, but hard to tell from pictures. Madsen list some to but no pictures either

His are the west coast dogs, OEM only has 2 options, stock and west coast
The one in @Dub11 picture are the 5 points. The oem west coast are smaller. Same as 372 xpw.

The 4 point pro safety stick out further on top. Keeps the muffler off the wood a little better than the oem west coast

Those are the best ones I think. The 5 point top is good but bottom sticks way too far down 99% of the time.
