Will they fit other saws, such as the 462?

I am researching that as we speak. I have good information it will fit a 462, but I don't want to state that definitively until sure. OEM dogs are the same part number. The small clutch cover is also the same, but I am not sure the exact shape of the housing to which the inner dog mounts due to the crankcase housings being slightly different. I will confirm as soon as I can. I have access to a shop which may have that model saw. Access to saws is the challenge. It is hard to get without buying the saw.

Yes, the 400 is another candidate, but verification is in order.

I plan to eyeball a 400 in a shop tomorrow to try to assess.

400 a sure no-go for the inner dog, though the outer will fit the clutch cover, so that doesn't seem a good option.
The case on the 400 where the inner dog bolts is much different than 500i.

462 still possible, but not confirmed. Shop I visit sold their last 462 and they are on backorder for a while.

I don't know who Bruce @ HL Supply (@Gentleman) is using but 24.95 from Daytona to Iowa is a deal I can't come close to.

That 500i case is built with much more beef than the 462

As I stated, the IPL on both saws quote the same OEM felling dogs. The dogs I make are slightly different shape, however. Mine fit the 500. I am going to need to actually put them onto a 462 to know for sure.
