Working on a 064. The hose on I'm guessing is the tank vent has two screws in the hose. When I touched it the line cracked and sounded as if the tank was in a vacuum. It would not start .

You could pay 7.00 at a stihl dealer.
Or like i have always done just screw the grub screws into fuel line and replace.
Stihls version of a tank vent works ok.

Still not getting fuel. Changed fuel filter, looks like time to rebuild the Bing carburetor.

I also use whatever line I have around and reuse the grub screws. Clean the screws before hand and it should work.

Yes, well.... kinda.

They're nla from Stihl up here. There are AM versions from CTS in Australia. I've used them before. The gaskets are perfect but I don't think I used all parts of the kit. The screen and needle can be from a Huztl Bing kit (ebay).

Foragefarmer put together a thread on FHC:http://firewoodhoardersclub.com/forums/threads/rebuilding-a-bing-49.17700/

Ill add that a few other kits on ebay don't work at all (one from Germany even).

I have a WJ-41 from cgraham as a spare. Haven't fitted it up yet to one of mine. I remember seeing some odd tech note that certain carb box/ housings were meant for Bing carbs.

I don't think this is the case, tho.
