I didn’t. Joe prepped all of the one I did. All I had to do was port it

Thanks, I was thinking that since it's pretty easy to put a 440 cylinder on one then it shouldn't take that much more to go with a 460 one like you did.

@Cerberus I ordered an Echo 590 gasket because I'm going to be doing this and thought you might want to see how it lines up on a 440 cylinder.

What keeps the new cylinder centred on the case lads? Looks like it relies on very careful base hole elongation and nothing else?

I'm not sure how @Red97 does his but my plan was to bring the piston to the bottom and bolt it on, I don't think a hair off is going to matter unless the piston is real close to hitting the case or the counter weights.

I'm a little worried about getting the muffler on without it touching the case right behind the coil.

50-52mm has room. Still want to be careful of keeping the holes centered.

Taking Stihl parts and trying to get them to work well or better on a Husqvarna or an Echo has never worked for me in 20 years. I gave up after I asked myself a simple question, "Why on earth am I trying to do this?"

Sometimes you just have to do things to see what happens.
