Smaller saw that rips, easy to mod, find parts?

350 Husqvarna is a good one for that I think Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Finding air leak

As a last resort yes. As long as you have some pressure water will stay out for the most part. I have had to do that a few times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Wife sold her ms180 got a 261c

I have one of those 2149s too. Love that saw. My neighbor brought it back to me with a scored piston. Put a 346 do top end on it. The love affair continues. My 026 isn’t speaking to me now. We use to finish each other’s sentences. We’re working on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    026 Carb's

Just curious about your mods... I plan to open mine up this winter. How much do yours add to your saw’s output? Do your best to put it in terms I can understand. Never had ported a saw before. Wondering what I’m missing. Is it like adding 10cc’s? I would consider that a huge gain. Sent from my...

    026 Carb's

I wonder if one could slide a small piece of Tygon over one of the choke levers either on the master switch or the air filter to get a little more "throw" out of the choke to make it close nice and tight

Echo Red Armour = semi synthetic

“Up to 2 years “ , not for 2 years. Big difference. Not sure if that oil has been around for 2 years yet. Anyway it’s good oil, it meets JASO FD spec. Does not get any better than that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

064 Oil Pump Replacement - fragile hose

I agree, seems like overkill. How hot can b&c oil be? I have used Tygon before Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

064 Oil Pump Replacement - fragile hose

Is there supposed to be a spring in the hose to keep it from collapsing? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My oil pump is the non adjustable version. It is missing a couple of small parts. Any suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    The 034

Looks like the cool pop up piston in my 034 has to go due to lack of compression, so, at this point is it better to go with a Meteor, 46mm piston set, or get a 48mm cylinder set and have essentially an 036? In other words is the KS cylinder special enough to save? Sent from my iPhone using...

    The 034

Maybe I should rering it, delete the base gasket and use a .325 chain on it. I already have an 036, a 066 for anything big and an 026 going on the table next. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    The 034

I tried checking squish with and without a gasket, still nothing measurable really. Such a great idea though whoever thought of it. This is my son’s saw and he says it ran good and he’s a motor guy. Bad seal is why I have it now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    The 034

It’s a 46mm bore. That’s why an 028 piston fits. It is not a super. The squish is way to big though. It didn’t even dent the solder. Compression was around 120. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    The 034

Here’s the cylinder pics. Love to hear what you all have to say about this one. No scratches whatsoever. I want you reuse it. The pop up piston did not equate to hi compression unfortunately. Whoever thought of it had the right idea though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    The 034

Hey guys, I’m doing an 034 as we speak. Found this piston in it. Looks like an 028 in there. Shopping for parts now. Just want to make a fun saw. Recommendations? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That dark heartwood is a maple characteristic for sure. The bark looks a bit smooth for a hard maple of that size and a little rough for a soft maple, but I’m from Vermont and don’t know much about trees out west. For that reason, I’m out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
