Are there any good quality after market p/c kits out there or do you have to stick with OE? Not sure what the current state of the aftermarket world is. No big bore, just a good standard bore replacement.
Looking for a clean 2171 or 2172 to rebuild my 2171 that’s pretty well clapped out. Want to put my ported cylinder on it. Heated Handles required. Missing some parts ok just need a fairly complete saw, especially a good top cover. A unicorn I know but worth a shot! Thanks
Who has a favorite? Is it considered vintage or current production? If you have several, which one do you grab the most often?
Currently I’ve only got a 521 Jonsereds that needs resurrection. Sold my 2153wh and to be honest that thing needed to be cycled on and off too much. Leave it on...
Selling my ported 2153 with heated handles. Great saw, low run time, and I guarantee it doesn’t leak bar oil. Runs amazing as you’d expect with Scott’s usual quality workmanship. Has the original Zama and runs great yet, planned on the different intake and carb setup but never needed it...
Wondering if I’ll ever use these so time to let them go. The 20” is mint, 24” has some fading on the lettering. Both are unused and have the cardboard sleeve. No guarantee the sleeve will survive shipping but I’ll try to wrap everything up decent. Large Husky Mount, 3/8”, 058” gauge
20”-...
Terry Landrum ported 2260. 2013 manufacture but updated to el48. Saw comes with modified and stock mufflers, 3/4 and half wrap handles, 24” GB bar and chain, and new set of inner and outer spikes. Small digger out of half wrap handle and various paint chips as shown, plastics handle/tank...

Low compression and I haven’t torn it down to find out if it’s wore out or the ring(s) stuck. With the Brillo pad air filter it’s...
Thinking about selling my ported 2260 for a 462. Die hard Jonsered guy but times change.. Seems as though the weight difference is slight. Probably run a 20” bar on the 462 and still run a light 50cc for the tops and a 90cc saw for larger stuff. Two questions:
Has anyone ran a 462 enough to...
Nicest running and looking variant of this saw I’ve had. Points version of the more common 52e. Runs strong, doesn’t give anything up to the electronic ignition version. Pulls 3/8 very well for 50cc because this isn’t a high strung, millennial saw:) I’ll let the pictures speak for condition...
My 10 year old FS90 just locked up and retired itself. Not worth fixing, it has more hours than my most wore out saw. Lol
Wondering if I should go with the FS94 for a lighter and conventional two stroke unit rather than the FS91. Want to stick with Stihl so I can use all the existing...
Like it to be clean and not busted up too bad. Non running is fine. I have a few 52e's and 70e's for trade or partial trade if interested. Just trying to fill a hole in my small collection and always wanted to run one.
Seems as though this was a real working man’s model and not very many survived in good condition. This most recent eBay special looked as clean as I’ve seen. Personally bid to $425 but not even close.. Hope someone got it that will clean it up and enjoy it!
Got a worn out clutch on a 2095. Thinking about picking up an aftermarket (Asian) version off eBay. Any reason to stay away from these or are they decent quality? Any particular vendor better than the other or is it all marginal junk? Lol
Just for the sake of friendly discussion I wonder if anyone has a favorite pair of vintage saws they like to put to work? For me a nice 52e and 70e pair up well. Wish I had a nice 90 for the triple crown...
Girlfriend wants me to go with her to Luck, WI this coming Saturday but I'll have most of the day to kill while she's working at a farm show. Looking for any old school saw shops within a 50 mile radius to go check out. Preference for the old line Jonsered shops if there are any left. Boyd's...
Anyone from the forum need a hand tomorrow with storm cleanup? I'm gathering some saws and a going to head up tomorrow with a small crew of friends. Kind of early yet to know what is going on I know.
Offering one or both of these 2166's. Story is a sales rep. sent them to a Menards store by mistake and they didn't want to stock pro saws at the store but who knows-I found them for a good price at their bargain store. I may keep one, not sure yet. I did not buy them to make a quick flip but...
