Yes, there's a video coming for sure. Wanted to not really mention the saw online until we did the video. But the non stop snow that is feet deep in the woods, plus some busy schedules mean the video could be a couple weeks away. I couldn't sit on the saw and keep quiet for that long. LOL But the video will cover some details on the 572. Show the improvements that have been made, maybe talk a little about the gen 3 auto tune. Also want to break it in a little before then. I can get a tank or 2 through it, but I'd like to give it to one of the loggers than tested the prototypes to put a dozen tanks through it.
You know us, we can keep your secrets:rolleyes:
At least tell us this much, are you impressed so far?
Did husky help you achieve this dream, or did you have to resort to being a regular guy and just order it?
You should have at least had them throw a 462 in the box !
You know for torture testing and such!
It may be a long time before I have an opportunity to hold one of those, much less run one, but it sure is purdy!

And for those guys to whom this is a life or death issue......................the screws are all T-27. ;)

IM IN NOW !!!!
call me a Husky fanboy...they've finally seen the light...
oh that's a pretty neat looking saw too Bob.

I remember running the first 560xp you had up in the Poconos years ago. Hope this one is just as exciting.

I had a couple of the prototypes and was impressed with the way they ran. Especially after they broke in. Won't really run this saw until Sat. Waiting in part cause it's absolutely driving a couple guys nuts. But I want to screw around with it for an entire afternoon and enjoy myself, not just make a couple cuts and have to go back in the store. I am real impressed with some of the thoughtful improvements that were made since I had the test saws. This is one of those "worth the wait" deals vs the bunch of updates that needed to be done to the 562 when it first came out.

Husky had nothing to do with me getting this saw. It's what we'd call a "dealer transfer" from a good dealer and a great guy in the UK. He was nice enough to let me have it for his dealer cost, which is how dealers normally do things. (Plus the shipping of course.) So I won't say who he is or what I paid. He was cool with helping a fellow dealer, but they don't generally do the international shipping thing. There could be no warranty on something like this, nor are there any parts available in the US yet. That's why I told the logger that's going to run it that he can't break anything. :)

Yeah, remember that gray top on the 560 prototype? Everybody was afraid they were going to do that on all of them. LOl

That was a good location for a GTG, and I had fun that day. Not too far and I stopped at Phantom Fireworks on the way home. :)

That was my first GTG and could not believe how willing everyone was to answer my boneheaded questions.
Little did I know every GTG is filled with guys that WANT to help out. Who knew?

That saw was so strange at the time it came out. I remember thinking somebody was "punking" me with some hoped up ported 70cc saw....still can't believe how compact and tight that series is. Are you gonna have this at Dans GTG in CT? (Ap 6)in Norwich

I need to buy a few parts tomorrow, gone buy them from the same shop who has the 572xpg, at least I get the chance to flip her around a bit and feel how she is in the balance.

To be a 70cc class saw, she look slim Bob, how do you feel about how her power head is against 372?

They have just hit the norwegian marked, one dealer close to me got in the first 572 xpg, saw it yesterday and had it a bit in my hands.
I didnt check what bar it had, maybe 18", but was dressed with Huskies new chain.

Did they give the G model the low top and air filter from the 565 like they did with the 372 and 576 G's, or is it the same as the regular 572?
