I went too big on a little dolmar 421 in experimentation and it began to idle worse and harder to tune the L. Probably overran that little carb. Ran good in the cut though. Went back to less outlet and the problems went away.

Very nice...How does the saw sound? Any improvements noticed?
@ABarrick
Not as loud as you would think. My 261 done the same way is actually louder to my ears. Might just be the pitch. Inside tube length is shorter on the 261 though. I left these a little long figuring I could shorten easier than adding to them. Made a nice difference. It has better spool up and cleaned up the off idle rich spot. It seemed to really pick up some low/mid-range when dogged in and leaning on it. Timing is stock for now.

Stihl MS361 de-crimped, baffle removed, screen and outlet tube left intact and recrimped, with a classic 288xp outlet and screen screwed into rivnut's. Going to California where working firescreen's are necessary.

Lol. Yep keep them screen's in. You might get into trouble for being to loud in California tho!!!:risas3:
