Would say Rat poison, try using screen wire to seal them out.

Saw an old man at dusk wave a 16 gauge in a figure 8
For awhile
I didn't know what he was doing i was about 10
He got bats to come close enough to shoot
It was neat
Old man knowledge.

We had them in the eve vent on the house. Back side is screened in so they couldn't get in the attic but they did keep the skeeter's down. Kind of hated it when they left.

I get them in my barn all of the time. Baseball bat is really good practice. They tell me tennis racket is easy but what fun is easy. I don't know if anything keeps them away because I have tried every
Thing I can think of from moth balls to bug bombs

If you must shoot them you fools whistle. Screws up their sonar.
A better plan is to build a maple bat box on the south side of a conifer. Winter sun summer shade. Make one you can clean out and they will return to it. Just had a bat in my front yard tonight. First I saw of them this year. They got no place to live with new construction and you killers on the loose.
I like bats better than people.

So lure them into a box then shoot em? I like it!

I have no problems with bats, they do a lot of good, more than folks think. I just wished the ones we had, had not of left. Now when I go out in the evening to do yard work, best soak down in off or lemon scented lotion. Them little blood suckers leave welts all over my back and arms.
