Just spun a few bearings!

Yup. #1,2 and 4 rods.
They cried to GM too. So then it gets input into a participation calculator which detrrmines how much GM will put towards their bill. And I get paid warranty time vs. regular book time.
It will get main bearings, crank, rods, rod bearings and I will have to clean out the metal from the block, head etc.

Trust me Wayne, I have wanted to do that on a number of occasions.
But, my boss, GM and customers usually frown on that.
We have 4 "techs" at our shop. Of course 6 clowns changing oil..
Anyhow, myself and 1 other guy were raised by our parents to be men.
2 others were raised to be sheep fluffers and come from a long lineage of pussys.

Guess who gets to do most of the work?

I wont even mention our oil guys other than they are wonderful at lubricating the floor. Forgotten oil filters on startup happens once a week. And they work in teams of 2...

Pulled the belt pulley off my parts tractor and of course it was broke. Pulled the hub off to braze it back together. I am not an expert by any means but im sure it will stay on the shaft well enough to look good!

Yeah but they could sell them a new ride.

Nah, I'm calling BS!
I've seen pics of stuff you do.
One of the fluffers at my place wont do certain jobs because "he's not getting oil and antifreeze dripped on him".
wow what a pussy. I left work one day last week without getting oil or grease on me only because I was removing dry wall lol.

Ahh, tapered. I was hoping it wasnt and was 1" or 1.25" as I had an idea for a replacement if needed.
I was thinking a rear wheel hub from a race kart would work perfect for it.
I thought about that too!

Its only for looks. My uncle had one of these whn i was a kid. Fell in love with it. When i got property i immediately started looking for an exact replica. Mine is the same year as my uncles was. Just missing the belt pulley and drive. It would mount right behind the starter where those 4 bolts in a square are.

These are the alky numbers. The low number was with less timing, might need to do a programable cdi so I can pull timing after 10k rpm to help over-rev, 4 degrees killed peak power but the over-rev would be nice, may have to try different reeds and domes...for science! Lol was hoping for a little more peak hp on alky but I gained 7-10hp under the curve so I am happy with that, it also needs more fuel, I have to either drill the power jet to add more fuel/ or add a second power jet, may try a different needle, before resorting to drilling the emulsion tubes larger, they are already enlarged but once you go too big you can’t go back! Lol I am at .118 and could go .120, but “they” say .122 is the max! She ran hard for a couple test pulls, but one plug started to back out, detonating a hair, plug looked good, but on the edge, need more fuel, or pull timing in the top end, I am maxed out on fuel delivery without drilling larger! 324D2008-EB78-4418-A10D-28A8AAD49F1C.jpeg
She pulled the current gearing with ease, going to try more gear more fuel and less timing
