Too much brand bashing … a lot of it based on saws that have not even hit the market yet.

Too much sniping at other members … for no reason.

Let's make a belated New Year's resolution to be a little more positive toward one another.

I like this site, I like the members, I like the information, I like the generosity when someone is in need, but I don't like the negativity.

My 2 cents, let's move on.

I’m with ya Mike, they’re just saws. :beer-toast1:.

This must be what all the car guys went through when the hemi debuted and was stomping on everything. Ford and Chevy couldn’t keep up so they threw in the towel...oh wait, no they didn’t.;)

I can't believe the hatred and arguments started over a garden tool. I guess I liken it to shoes. Some people think one shoe is the best, and others can't stand them. It doesn't mean the shoe isn't good, just that it doesn't suit your preferences.

Some of y'all need more Jesus.

Maybe I'm just a tard but I honestly didn't think this thread was that bad. I've seen it go way worse on Another Site. Side note how do you like your brave? Been liking mine.

Just a little history to refresh your memory:

In 1965 the 427 Ford engine won 48 of 55 NASCAR races

The first Funny Car to break 200 MPH in the 1/4 was the MT 427 powered Funny Car

In 1966, 427 Ford Powered GT-40s kicked Ferrari's Arse and finished 1, 2 +3 in the 24 hours of Lemans. They were also so dominant in 1967 that the rules were changed to outlaw them.

Winning at NASCAR, Drag Racing + Lemans … No Chrysler Hemi ever did that!

The Ford 427 would have been more dominant, but NASCAR banned the DOHC version after it's first race! MT was running a SOHC version. They produced 616 Hp with a single 4 bbl carb, and were also offered in a dual 4 bbl version.

FYI, my current Mustang engine has cross bolted mains, similar to the ones developed to strengthen the 406/427 Ford engines, and SOHC, w/variable cam timing and a third valve added.

I installed a 427 Ford Engine in the 1970 Boss 302 Body I had back in the day. Was a nice sleeper!

Great Jay Leno video here of a 1967 Ford Fairlane all aluminum 427 .
Early 70's I owned a 1966 Galaxy 500 390 2 door and speaking of Fairlane I also back then owned a ultra rare1970 1/2 Fairlane Falcon with a 351 Cleveland, 4 speed and 9 inch rear, my fastest Ford. The top motor in that car was the 429 drag pak option with 430 rear.

I love that little splitter. It's twice as fast as any one-way splitter, and I haven't been able to stall it yet. I've intentionally put the nastiest knots in there, just to see what it will do, and it just digs in and shears the wood in half.

Helpful if we can keep it on topic: is STIHL replacing some saws in their line up?

Lots of other threads out there for other topics.

Was simply citing a small example of competition promoting innovation in another industry. No memory refreshment required, but thanks.
