I been looking for a tank vent to fit the little 026 I’ve acquired. I’ve come across several different designs and was wondering if the duckbill design is sufficient to stop gas from pouring out 4114 353 1600. Or do I need the other parts also. There’s a lot of different ones out there and I’ve seen different ones on different stihls, but which one is the right one

That’ll have to wait till I get home from work. Don’t have one on my phone. I’m trying to think how to describe it

These are up to serial number and date change occurred. This only works if it’s the original tank.

I had #18 which was only around for a year. Makes it very hard to find parts. I ended up buying an older tank that uses #25. There are lots more of those floating around.

Most times vents are used to slow down the venting, not just allow it to happen. So you kinda need the vent part.

I’m not sure. In all this searching I read something that said to use tank serial number to get the correct vent??

Maybe they meant part number then. I could also have read it wrong

Picked up the duckbill vent at dealer today and it fits so I’m figuring I need the other piece like in your second picture

I'm no expert, but the only one I have had that didn't leak was # 16 in the parts diagram.

#28 is what I got at the dealer. 23&24 I found in my misc. box of parts and they fit. But I haven’t filled the tank to see what happens. It’s all broken down waiting on a piston anyway
