Time for another repaint folks. This is my 4-20 Homelite. 4 horse 20 pounds. Saw had been sitting for over 20 years and with some fuel system work fired and ran like a champ. Even cut some wood with it after getting the roller nose bar and chain broke loose.

Plans are....repaint as being done already....new decals.....and tune up. Gas tank needs to be blasted inside as the gunk is pretty bad and even a flat head screw driver would not chip the crap off. Don't want to eat anything away with acids so I'll bead blast it.

Got a good jump start on painting today. After the saw is painted and back together I'll wire wheel the bar...heat it and oil it.

Should be a fairly quick project long as things are smooth sailing. Need a few gaskets which I will probably make.

What color is that sparkly green paint? And what brand of rattle can paint is that that you’re using?

Been using dupli color for my primer, base, and clear. Have not been happy with the clear as it does not hold up to fuel very well. Found a different brand of clear that a buddy is using on his saws so I'll be changing over to that on the next build. The green is shimmering green.

Clean up the bar and keep it bare metal usually looks nice. Just treat it with oil from time to time. You could also use cold blue for a nice effect.
