Thanks my friend. He’s learned how to deal with it and it’s gotten better in the last few years but when it happens it kicks his butt for a few days.
Man that stinks, my youngest had severe asthma when he was really little and thankfully it’s regressed as he’s grown. Hope they find the allergy to prevent another attack.

Saw is looking good:)

Also wanted to tell you guys my son may not be in many of the pictures next couple days. He has asthma and last night about 2am he woke us up having what they call an “allergic asthma attack” so my wife had to rush him the nearest ER so they could draw blood and try to catch what the allergy might be that’s causing the reaction to happen.

Tell little man GWS.

My son said tell y’all thanks for the well wishes. I did some pre-building on the saw today. Really just to see what parts I’m still lacking and making sure I wasn’t gonna have any big problems while my son and I were building it. I’ll take it back down for the most part and we will start from there I went a little farther than pictures show but I guess I didn’t take anymore pictures F4D1D436-8D3E-43BC-9CBA-D23D0F0014F7.jpeg6235815F-F312-4CF5-9669-19295CDC4F93.jpeg

I noticed that lol. I’m gonna do either a small deflector on it or put the muffler from my 372 on it till I figure something out. Ive been thinking on it. That’s what I get for jumping to far ahead on that part :roto2palm:

That is also a brake flag from the 365 x-torq I haven’t compared them but it may be different than the other one that should go on it. And speaking of the 365 x-torq. I should have enough parts to at least start one with a good open port cylinder. I also checked and the case part numbers are the same as the 371 so I’m thinking the only things that are different are the p/c and plastics are taller???

As far as I know yes. Taller top cover, flag and handle.

I haven’t read back but I believe that’s all someone said was different and of course the p/c. I can’t believe how difficult it is to find parts saws for 362-372 with as many as are out there.

The xtorq case is a little more open on the sides at the lower transfer entrance. If you look at the xtorq cylinder extension it's easy to see why.
Yup, good call forgot about that. Hence you can use an OE top end on an XT case, but you can't use an XT top end on the OE case.

Ok I’ll check that out. But why would the case part numbers be the same for the 365xtorq compared to my 371xp. Unless something has gotten changed before they came to me.

That 's a good question. Perhaps since the case can be used in either configuration they simply applied the same part number to all of them.

Not absolutely sure no. Recoil said xtorq but I know that could have been changed. Here’s the tag2ABE978D-EA4C-403E-B824-C2F81D63362C.jpeg

Hmmmmm...Did you get these as bare cases or did it have the XT cylinder on it?

It had the xtorq cylinder with it. The big end rod bearing was destroyed. Maybe someone else mixed and matched idk

this IS interesting. Maybe @Spike60 can explain why the XT and OE case part numbers are the same.
Wish I would’ve taken a picture yesterday of them to put on here. I’m at work today but I could do it this afternoon I guess. I’m thinking now that the piston didn’t look like an xtorq piston but I know the cylinder had the removable plates on the side of it
