Well...if anyone is still interested the H & L passages are tie togather so it still draws fuel to the H side when blocked.
Had an opsy with the carb and hope I haven't ruined it.....will try to get my results out possibly by Tuesday on my mods on it......
If you hear someone sobbing you'll know I screwed it up.......

Well, another Bob.

For Pete's sake Brad go to bed.

Well, another dissenter heard from, who lacks knowledge of who asked to have the thread "cleaned up".....

ME! I did. Load a *s-word for a guy who's doing the work, spending the time and putting it out there for everyone one to see. And then some keyboard commando decides to take potshots. *B-S.....

Thanks, Ross. I saw the amount of work Joe was putting in, and that, combined with your request for a clean up is why I decided to give it a "go".

Maybe both need to be restricted?

Did you try closing off the hole in the main?

Seems I remember spraying through the H needle it came out the main, could be wrong..

That may be something I may try. The H & L endless passage feeds I to the side of the Main jet, plus also being feed by the .55mm office in the jet itself.
So far Ive just been trying to restrict the H and find an easy way to do so so everyone can do it and benefit from it.
Just keep finding more secrets in this carb, and thoughts on the best way to get where I want to go.

Not sure why anyone would bash this thread or anything Joe is doing here.

Research is research. The results here can be extrapolated and used in any saw model. Plus, WTF does anyone else care what saw a guy likes-get a life.

Keep up the good work guys.

Thank you for sharing your findings.

I'm very interested. The work I do on 3120 carbs might help here.

Wonder if it could be simple as installing a normal hda main jet, and restrict the same hole on high needle.

@Mastermind

On the 3120 you make a H needle and drill/tap for std operation of the H circuit correct? I remember seeing the thread but not all the details.

Does it require blocking some passages to direct the flow a certain way?

We need to figure out how the excess fuel is getting to the high side, without compromising low side performance...

Guess I'll be getting familiar with this here carb tomorrow...

The main feed is through the bleed on top with the L side. There is also a passage from the L into the H also then the feed into the main jet for delivery.
David had an idea of closing the main jet off which would divert everything through the lower side passages......not a bad idea.....and would be easy to do compared to closing off the H bleed hole.

I do those carbs a few different ways. I can block off all the factory fuel supplies, and add my own. Or I can leave some of them open. It depends on how much fuel the engine needs.
