So what's the current two stroke oil favorite?

I always thought ultra and ultra HP were the same oil, just referred to differently. The standard HP we call orange bottle, Ultra (HP Ultra) is the gray bottle, and Super (HP Super) was the FD rated oil in the white bottle that we don’t have in the states. I’ve seen (on OPE) Canadian bottles of HP ultra where it said made by Castrol and I’ve seen American made bottles of HP ultra that were made by Omni
HP Super is what I always used in the white bottle , I always had good results with it . Yes , it is manufactured by Castrol here . The original ultra was recommended for Stihl's 4 mix units & was passable in them although still dirty in my mind , however was atrocious within saws for gumming up everything with carbon or sponge or both in some cases lol. I can see why there is such confusion with the product usage , with all the different versions of " Ultra "

That's all there is to it. All I run now.
Greta agrees

I'm running Schaeffer's boat oil have been for about 8 years
Great stuff Is it the best i don't know or care
But It's definitely the cleanest burning oil I've ever used.
But it's 25.00 a quart now.
So I bought 6 quarts of Castrol go to try it was 33.00 eggshooter had good results and it's inexpensive compared to other's
If I don't like it I'll get dominator
Here's the best price I can findScreenshot_20230222-154235.png
About 161.00 plus tax if you join the membership for six months.

12 quarts

Ahhhhhhhhh. Gotcha. Heck that’s a pretty good price. I gave 80$ for a gallon of red armor last year. Maybe 83$ something in that area
There’s more perks with the Preferred Customer membership besides the savings. It’s a great thing to do.

Yeah that’s a good price. I used to run Schaeffers but switched to dominator because of the price. It’s good oil. Pistons always look pretty clean and more importantly wet.

I was running Schaeffer’s previously as well but also made the switch. Amsoil is good stuff.

I ran shindaiwa/echo red armor up to 8 years ago when the pricing went stupid
For many years maybe since shindaiwa introduced it I was paying 8.99 for the 6.4 oz six packs
The next time I went to buy it
The price was 24.00
Hell no
Then I saw tree monkey's endorsement of Schaeffer's and ran it
Until the price is escalating on it now.

I don’t have a go to oil. I was impressed with the raisman full synthetic. Way better than you might think. (The stuff hl sells). I believe I’m running Kawasaki k tech currently. I haven’t opened the red armor so I’m set for a bit on oil. But it’s actually came down in price since I last bought. As long as it’s good stuff I’ll use it. I’m not running saws like i have in the past. That could change any given time but the last couple years have been just getting firewood
