Yeah, the piston tops show more carbon than I'd like, but the mufflers don't show anything alarming. Yet...
Mufflers are usually clean with Ultra. The crown and exhaust flange help to catch it all 👍😁.

It’ll be fine. There are just cleaner options

I brought a bucket load of this a while ago. I’ve yet to find out how it compares to other oils over time.

The only thing I will add is the colouring faded after a day of being mixed 😫 so I ended up buying some oil dye/colouring and had to decide how much to mix in 5Lts of 2 stroke oil to give me some colour at the final ratio I mix at 🤞 it’s a bit lighter than the stihl green but it can be seen. So I guess next time I will add a bit more.

Anyhow Like most things, they all go up over time so hopefully I will save a few$ in the long run.

I've run Ultra for years in my 046 at 50:1 and had the same results. Little more carbon than I'd prefer but no issues.

I followed someone that ran this in his sled, Strawberry scented suitable for 2-stroke air-cooled or liquid-cooled engines, not anywhere as obnoxious as benoil.

Yeah , Ultra controversy is definately ongoing . I thought I should provide an update the Stihl White bottle was relabelled as "Premium" up North here , manufactured by Castrol .

Not even available in the USA, all Stihl oil blends in the us are made by opti and they only make orange bottle and ultra. While ultra isn’t good I’ve never seen a saw directly killed by lack of lube from it at 40 or 50:1.

Stihl orange, ultra, Red Armor and Tru Fuel all come from Omni Specialty in Shreveport, LA. I would suspect that Calumet Lubricants is who is making the oil as they are more of a boutique refiner.

They also make most of the stuff for O’rillies auto parts

Still rockin red armor 40:1. The red armor schmoo is real, all over the muffler and making its way out of the seam. Going to mix up some amsoil sabre. I bought a galllon it'll take me 2 to 3 years to use it up.

I pretty much mix up Red Armor for one gallon and Dominator for the next. 40:1. But I don't burn nearly as much gas as most around here.
