Once your done, head on up, I have a 17 Buick Envision waiting for me to replace the entire hvac case in due to a broken rear temp door.

Naw, after I get this one back together I got to get a rear main in a 2.4.

This Nissan had a bad case in it too.

You can come visit anytime you like. I know I've always got fun to do!:D
Could be playing VW with me today. When I rotated the tires the other day I noticed both outer boots on the shafts were torn. Just now taking a break from putting new inner boots and outer cv joints on. Need to look up some torque specs for the axle bolt and go back out and finish the job. Love having that quick jack to lift the entire car. Going to make replacing strut assemblies and putting in clutch in my Jetta so much easier.

Gotcha. I have good success with the Chineseium axles in my cars. But VWs are a different breed.
IMG_20230107_163114.jpg This thing has the 2.8 30v Audi engine in it. Got some scoot but you have to watch the oil level on it. Cardone are about the only replacement anyone here carries and they can be hit or miss. Took the lift to full height just for the fun of it and you have some serious room for an oil change. Ignore the mess, too many things going on. I need to get to my grandparents house and take the shelves from the garage for inside here.

Yes they do run very well. Have you put a timing belt on that yet? So many people are scared of them but the front end comes off in about 20 minutes and then you just sit on a stool and relax. Really miss working on those cars compared to newer Fords. They suck to do anything.

Drive one of the A6 Audis of that era with the 2.7 turbo and a 5-speed. Makes that 2.8 feel like a weed Wacker!!!

The timing belt was done just before I bought it so we are good for about another 60k. Can't really complain for a car that had less than 100k on it when I bought it. Forgot to mention the drivers side had already had the boot replaced at some time and was leaking as well. Got to get a better 17mm hex bit. Only one I had was a 3/8 drive and I broke the adapter off in it when trying for the final half turn on the tty axle bolts. Try to pick one up today and finish it this afternoon.

Is that 90ft-lbs plus 180 like the late model vw/audi cars? You almost need 3/4 drive to do that. Makes a 24" 1/2 drive snap-on bow pretty good!
