How are you liking your little one? Damn things make you wonder how you ever lived without one!
I've been considering downsizing from my L3800 to a BX. I really rarely need anything bigger than the BX and it could also replace the Deere gx335 garden tractor I mow with. Idk.

What tasks do you do? That's a pretty big step down from your L. Do you have any three point implements you use? The bx may have issues with handling regular 3 point implements due to its short ground clearance.

Mainly move snow, move some dirt as needed, maintain my dolemite drive. Cary my saw into the woods to cut downed trees from storms. All my implements would have to go with the L3800. They are to big for the BX. 7' snow pusher, 6 ft back blade and 5 foot gear drive tiller. Which I just bought. Still in its crate. So.... selling it really isn't a good plan. I should just buy the BX in addition to the L and put a blower on it for snow. Thats the main driving force. I'm over pushing snow around and the only option for the L is a rear mount. Id get a pull type not the back up type if I went that route. Them rear pulls are over 5000 for a 60" with manual shute.

What about a front mound hydraulic drive blower on the loader with a power unit driving off the rear pto?

Even more money. Of course a whole new BX in addition is way more but the bonus is another tractor. Lol. I'll most likely keep the L till we gtfo of michigan. Whenever that is. Not wanting to haul the tractor and related attachments 1500 miles. We don't have anything to haul it with anyway nore are we buying one just for a one way trip.

Adding another tractor is obviously the correct choice in this situation. :)

Finally bought a log winch for the tractor. Picked up a Norse 450 from Labonville. Getting ahead on wood for next year and then some.

Nice top link! What brand is it?

I feel like I hit the lottery on that one. A guy on tractorbynet who has an mx5100 (turboed version of my mx4700), did an entire writeup of adding 3 remotes, and top and tilt cylinders. Down to the part numbers and vendors. My machine didn't have any remote valves because Kubota wanted WAY too much for them. Anyway, I think the total price for 3 remotes and the cylinders to do the top and tilt was like $1100. The top link is just a 3" (I think) by 12" cylinder I cut the clevis ends off of and welded the balls from my factory one to. Same with the tilt. Super easy.
