Welp i got the old girl up on the table again tonight. After spending another 30 minutes beating my head against the wall getting the intake and carb back on ( It was mainly hard only because I didnt want to unbolt the jug. But i did anyways) I got all the junk sealed up and ran a leakdown on it. Seals were good. Held 40psi for a while before trickling down a tad. Had a leak around the intake boot but that was from reusing the original messed up intake clamp. Fixed the leak and put everything back together. Started on 3rd pull, idled great, and throttled great. I haven't put a bar back on yet but it definitely isn't as sluggish anymore. Throttle response and torque feel lke they should. Won't know 100% till I put a bar back on and get her in the wood, but i think it's fixed. In the end, F a husky

Whoa there cowboy, only need to pressure test the crankcase to 7 psi. If yours holds 40 I'd say it more than passes muster.

So basically what your saying is that if the seals were in there wrong i probably would have blown them out of the saw? My tester goes up to like 100psi Might have to try maxing her out tomorrow.

For the record I did say it was my first leakdown test..:coleman:

Just remember your only trying to keep the crankcase sealed from atmospheric pressure so the seal in cases aren’t required or hold that much. I pull 7-10 bar vacuum then spin the crank to work the seals in case they’re leaking in a certain spot on the crank. Do the same under 6-7 psi of pressure, even though I primarily like stihls the others are growing on me and the 2-3 series are easier to work on than a lot of stihls. I despise the 50,51 and 55 intake style but it works even if they have more spots to leak at the they should. Got the 2149 jonsred running yesterday and I think I may just keep it only stuck a base deleted 350 closed port top end on it because I had a mint one laying around.

And I might but had the parts I had on the shelf snd figured I’d get it running to to check the rest out, the reason I hate the 350 with a passion is because of the plastic case and they just fall apart. In reality they actually cut decent till the exhaust falls off and blows the saw up

I got my first Husqvarna saw when I was about twenty. Just found it on me bench one morning. Had no recollection of how she got there the night before. Just then arm was itching profusely so I rolled up me sleeve and found out something else was new...

I have at least 3 or 4 more 350’s in shop and 2 455 ranchers there that are blown. Should be enough parts to make 2 more 350’s at least. The 2149 runs real nice now fuel line wouldn’t hold vacuum so I think it was leaned out from sucking air with the fuel. Vac and pressure tests were perfect

I've got a 2152 with a worked over jug I was using before a gang of 50cc's invaded my shop. I'll be thinning the herd here real quick.

I sold a completely gone over ms250 yesterday to take one from the group to make room for the jonsred. Guy needed a wheeler/ deer stand saw so i
Sold him the 250 built with new seals snd rings, actually did a bit of exhaust work, timing advance and aimed the upper transfers a bit. Damn thing ran well for a 250 Stihl, wasn’t real pretty so I sold him if for the cost of parts I had in it.
