Had Kevin build/port a 346 from a 353 and port a new Makita at the same time. They both are impressive to say the least. The 346 is an absolute blast to run even with a long bar (24 full skip). The 7900 is really my go to big saw now. I also purchased a 357 he ported for another member here which is just as impressive. He ported a 543 for me which admittedly I haven’t got to run as much as I would like, and is currently working on a 241. Kevin ports a great saw and is a great guy in the saw community, if you have him port a saw, you will not be disappointed.

Agreed. If he can get his Sausage Fingers in it, then it'll go better afterwards.

Ran my XS MS261 yesterday, pulled a 20x3/8 like a champ.
Although he didn't build it for me, I know he's a great guy to work with based on yrs of hearing other guys experiences and having talked to him myself thru the yrs.
Thanks Kevin.

He's helped me out with some great advice through the yrs, and I've sent a good number of guys to him for porting, that's how it's supposed to work :).
Ran it a bit today on a tiny pine town she's resting now, as am I.

I purchased a new Makita EA5000 from Steve @166.
I had her shipped to Sondre @SOS Ridgerider who shipped her to Kevin @huskihl whom did his magic.
After Kevin did his thing the saw got shipped back to Sondre, then to Greece Dan @AlfA01 who relayed her toward Croatia.

My XS5000 is set up with a 20" 72DL 3/8" full chisel B&C and she pulls said setup buried bucking and noodling beech and oak.

I own stock PS-5105's which are the same as EA5000's, they are nothing like my Makita XS5000!

Thank You Steve, Sondre, Kevin and Dan! :beer-toast1:
