Long story short, this was my first 462 Kev ported and it cracked the intake side of the piston. I sent it to him to look over/fix and he threw a new meteor and caber in it and said it's good to go. I replaced the maintenance items on it, tank vent/filters etc..I threw a fresh west coast AV kit and also put a new solenoid and wiring harness in it just for the hell of it, I figured whether I sold it or kept it I'd be fresh. I also bought a new top cover for it, the rubber on the handlebar has small knicks from normal use, nothing serious.

He said it's worth 1000 bucks, so that's what I'm selling it for.

Are the meteor pistons less prone to cracking, or is it a similar design?

1st gen is the more zippy one right?

1st gen is more prone to coming apart. Dull chains and hired help will kill either one. Meteors are a couple grams heavier. Typically they have slightly wider skirts. The bottom ring end being over at the edge of the exhaust port isn’t conducive to widening the port very far that way. This one I believe is running only the top ring. Runs great
