ive been thinking about buying some but would like to know if they are good and if the wire can be cut down so the wire is not such a mess on a saw i am thinking of this one with reset button on top

I've had mine for 4 years on my 395. And yes you can cut the wire. Mine has always done great!

the other with reset button on back is a couple dollars cheaper but i am thinking be better with it on the front so i wouldnt need to take it off again to reset if it is needed

I agree. I don't believe they offered them when I bought mine. Ihave had three on different saws. Just wrap the wire around your plug wire about 8 times and she's ready to go.

I think the Hardline tachs are a little cheaper on ebay. They work good too.

I've had to wrap the wire one turn, the reading is more stable that way

Play around with the pickup wire
