What all would we need guido. I've never even been to a gtg before, so as far as I know we need stripper poles and glitter.

As long as you have a spot where we can safely cut, the biggest thing is finding logs. Specifically big logs. Cull logs that are crooked or have branches/forks/knots will work, we are just cutting cookies. Smaller logs are good too, especially for those of us with bow saws.

A shady spot to sit is good and we will need to have a meal, folks can bring stuff and chip in money. If you are racing you will need some cants.

The wood would probably be the hard part. I don't know where to get cull logs and I don't think my dad would be too happy if I went out in the woods and cut down a bunch of trees. Maybe I should start small.

Check with local loggers, they may have short sections or lengths with crotches on the landing they will give you to get them out of the way.

Just do a "V" notch in a small log and drop the big log in it. No need to get fancy.
