@Philbert ?

Longest bar and saw that will pull it buried. Run time isn’t a big deal. Needs to charge off vehicle.

If you are paying, I would look at the Pro-level Husqvarna, with 3 of their high-end batteries, and a quick charger.

The field changes rapidly, so next week there could be a different answer!

As far as vehicle charging, most batteries can charge using their 120V charger and an inverter. Some manufacturers recommend a ‘sine wave inverter’, which, apparently, provides cleaner power.

I don’t know of any current (no pun intended) battery saw that will compete with a 70cc gas saw. Maybe 50cc?

There are some large, battery-powered, concrete saws, so it’s possible to get the power, but they are H-E-A-V-Y.

If they made a backpacker battery with a connection through a glove would be cool.

Stihl MSA 300, not sure if it’s been released yet. Also Makita came out with a large 80v cut off saw so maybe we will be seeing a 80v chainsaw in the future.

A number of companies sell backpack batteries with cables. But they are heavy and bulky.

Might be OK for a string trimmer, or leaf blower, but I would prefer to swap out several smaller batteries in a saw.
