    Stihl FS131, Stihl FS111, Husqvarna 135R.

Looking for relaiability, and value for money, I can go down
to the lowest horse power model above, as I do not have heavy
cutting to do, just listing what is local.

Any pros and cons regarding the models mentioned,
    appreciate you opinions.

Very true. Definitely can't beat the value.

I went with the biggest Stihl they had before stepping into the ''forestry'' line up. Powerful, takes a few different cutting heads along with the trimmer, but not cheap. Bought it in 2016 for about 8 bills. I chose Stihl, not only because I have a few of their saws, but for their large dealer network.

I found the Stihl FS240, its a two stroke that has no valves
like the 4Mix ones, like the simplicity of the 240, its big
though, weighs 7kg, but an echo in the same size is heavier.

The smaller Echo strimers use a flexible shaft, not sure I
would want that either, I like Echo products, but I read about
issues with their brush cutters when put to the test, that and they
are very expensive where I live, and parts will also be an issue,
my local dealer doesn't even open shop during winter, opens around mid March.

Not at my local dealer, I like Echo but will be giving their strimmer range a
pass, flexible cable drive instead of stainless shaft, and I heard they are not
up to heavy work, ok for lawn grass you can't reach with a mower.

I bought the Shindaiwa T262 because it has a steel shaft. Its the same trimmer as the Echo 2620 but the Echo has a flex shaft.

Thanks for posting, yes, I see they have have the High torque model here too,
it is geared to run slower, and is only 10.00 euro more than the non torque model here. I think the FS240 will handle brush cutting and strimming and still runs fast. might give it a spin.

Are you looking to just whip weeds, or will you be using brush cutting attachments/blades ?

I can't afford one for each, so will be looking for a unit to do both.

Yes, those models were good, can't find one locally, probably have
been replaced by a newer model.

I’ve had an fs56 for 10 years now, it works great. I was just looking at the stihl kombi setup yesterday. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy either stihl. The fs94 is the lightest bigger unit I believe.

Yes, the 94 would be fantastic for regular gardens, but I would not
like the prospect of putting a blade on it, its only .9kw, nice and light though,
also almost the same price as the FS240, that makes it a tough decision.

I got my 535LK and every accessory from Bruce when he ran a good sale. I’m very very happy with this powerhouse and the Husky accessories. I’d do it all over again, so it’s what I’d recommend.

And of course, that model is sold out at my local, they have 525 though,
which is just a bit light for a blade, its take what we have left in my area.

I'd NEVER suggest the 25cc unit, the 35cc unit is absolutely an animal with everything, plus it only sips fuel, seemingly only a drop or two every minute of use. I've got allmost 20 hours on mine now, modded the muffler before I fueled it up.

PM @Gentleman and ask him when his next sale is planned for ...............
The savings really add up if you add the accessories
