I think that the HD Oregon spinner and breaker are intended more for harvester chain (?). The standard Oregon should be adequate.

I have the Bailey's set, and it has been holding up.

Is your Forester an Oregon clone? Do you need to replace the whole thing, or maybe just replace the wear parts?

To avoid threads that wear look for acme threads, they will have flats across the top of the threads. It's a trapezoid cut, and cheap copies will use standard V cut threads.

The anvil needs to be a hard grade of steel, like 0-1 tool steel, cheap copies will use some high carbon steel.

$150 seems like a surprisingly reasonable price for a STIHL branded product. I assume that it will also be supported for a long time too.

Do many STIHL dealers use this model?

These as well as the HD breaker can be serviced with standard Oregon parts.
