What a huge squish area as well on the 1020 homelite cylinder.

I want to see someone else do a 272 before I do.


That's right,hidden motive.

Remove restrictions on the intake of the 272.

Then get a velocity stack.

Rob a K&N air filter and the wifeys black nylons (they must be black)


Then add a fart can sized muffler.


Those are the simple steps to building a 272. Or a kid's Honda civic.

I like 272's. My dad bought one to replace his Husky 77. He used it for many years and gave it to me a couple years back. I have won several races in the stock classes with that saw. I'd be interested to see how they are ported. How do they stack up against a ported 372?

372 has more beans in my opinion.

Remember a 272 is a two port saw against a four port saw and the 372 has a much smoother intake port shape.

372 has more stroke as well and seems to have a broader torque output.

Once that saw shows up, I plan on doing a comparison thread. 272 vs ported272 vs ported 371. 24" and 32"
