The Taurus, was my first thought along with the LCP. After handling them, neither of us liked them.Taurus makes a slim little single stack 380. I forget the model but my buddy had one and Ive ran several rounds through it without a hiccup and the recoil was really soft
My Super Redhawk and Leupold magically "disappeared" during a divorce. I still miss it.My gp100 I let my dad use for home defense as he won't buy anything. I sold my ruger super red hawk in .44 and still regret that.

I bought a .41 Redhawk just to make me feel better about it. It worked.
I'd have to try an 83 before I bought one, especially in .454. I know that they're about the most well-timed/built revolver out there and I can tolerate a decent amount of recoil w/o flinching, but I've got it on good authority that the 83 chambered in Casull with about any length of non-ported barrel has a wicked snap to it. I think if I want more power than 280-315gr loads in .44's and .45's, it would either be a .480 Ruger in a SRH or a BFR single action, or a Smith X-frame, just to have more pistol to soak it up. Power's nothing w/o control.
I have ye to try either. The most powerful that I've played with was an 8" SRH in .480 which was pretty nice.
@hseII ,are you a shooter?
