When you come up with prices let me know. I Perfectly understand your thought pattern.

I generally try to avoid making offers. LOL

046 and 026 saws are the ones of greater interest.

They say a picture is worth 1000 words.

That’s like people from AZ saying “it’s 115f but it’s a dry heat so it isn’t THAT hot”. BS. That’s hot and -40 is cold.

Picture is 6:30 this morning. It was dead calm thankfully. We've had -70s with wind chill already. Not fun!

And -50f is colder. Good grief. You should stick a -70f with a sharpie on that bad boy sometime to give it a target for next winter 😂

I plowed snow, with a 9N Ford Stored under a military tarp., this morning.

My secrete, is a hairdryer, on the carb for about an hour. Foil help direct the heat.

I wish still had the pics of Dad plowing snow in the 1978-79 storm. We had around 30 inches and around -20F.

He got the ole 1949 IH TD-9 dozer rolling and commenced to plowing.

Sadly he forgot where his new jon boat was............ripped the entire corner off but ole Wendell fixed her.

More 026 pics

Bar is 16" Oregon 0.325 0.063, near new FC chain (Oregon? marked 67J on drive links). Bar low use but needs dressing (wire edge). OEM Stihl small clutch drum, rim has a little wear.

026 bar.jpg 026 chain.jpg

OEM Sthih cylinder. Piston seems to have carbon scoring, but rings free and has good compression. Have not tried to start saw due to carbon. If anyone interested I would put some mix in and run it and do a few cuts.

Saw needs a bath but would clean up nice. I can clean it up some, take more pictures of what anybody wants to see, and answer questions if anyone interested

044,046,064 gone ?

At my other place. Have not been there to get pictures, too busy getting stuff done at main place as spring has sprung.

The 044/046 are parts saws but look OK through ex port and turn free.

The 064 has rebuild potential or might run? I need to throw some mix in it/check spark, it has early Bosch coil. If it's the coil the dogleg coil on the 046 could be a donor coil.

Money is a little tight so floating the idea of selling off some of the saws I don't time to work on. I don't have current pictures of all of them. Some are at my other place, and the ones here are out in a freezing barn that I need to dig out from this weekends ice/snowstorm.

You can post or PM me if there is an interest in any of them and I'll try get pictures and some more details on the condition, maybe compression test. Might take a week or two depending on which saw(s) and where they are located. Some have bars but may cost more to ship.

Easiest way for me to ship is FedX. Prefer US postal MO.

Stihls

056

1) 056M well worn from a logger, and ran/started but has suspect bad coil, partially disassembled have to check if any parts missing?. Dies after a few minutes running. Piston has wear but no scoring. Need to get pictures.

2) 056M complete saw was told it ran by former owner, but oiler not working. Good cosmetics. Have not tried to run it or checked P/C. Need to get pictures.

3) 2 or 3 056? parts carcasses. Could part these out or sell whole. Good for parts only, missing parts on all. No pictures now.

046 Has broken handle. Turns free and P/C looks OK through muffler. Would have to check if P/C is OEM. Handle gas tank broken. Have a few pictures. Could part out. Have recoil assy

440 Similar to the 046 above. Have a few pictures. Need to check if P/C is OEM. Could part out.

Early 064, Bosch coil dogleg coil mounts. Have not tried to start it. Complete and P/C looks OK. Has upgraded HD air filter. Case has a crack around one of rear AV mounts but should be reparable, need pics of this one.

026

1) from farm auction. Complete have not tried to run it. Has 150psi compression, but piston shows some carbon on ex side. Might be a candidate for new piston or run as is. Have some pictures.

2) Complete good looking saw but looks to have been straight gassed or lean seized. A good candidate for piston or P/C if cylinder won't clean up. Need to get pictures.

Husky

257. Don't know much about this one, was given to me. Missing air filter parts. Pulls over and has compression, have not pulled the muffler to check P/C

I dug out 3 056? saws. Two I believe are supers according to top cover/rear handle. The other #1 is pretty well stripped

#1) The stripped one. Missing handles and covers. I forgot to get pic of clutch side to see if clutch/oil pump still there. This one don't have much useful parts, locked solid. No idea if 056 056S? Cases/flywheel might be OK. Unsure what type ignition.

Stihl 056? #1.jpg

#2) More complete. Missing front handle and recoil assy. Plastic cover on top of rear handle cracked, otherwise cover/handle in good shape. Believed to be a 056S. If I recall it is locked can check, pull muffler if any interest.

#3) Another 056S I think. This one ran after I played with it way back when. Piston is worn but not scored, turns free. Can pull muffler for pic if any interest. I think it has a failing Bosh ign, as it would run until it warmed up. I started to work on it, but never located an ign, so it's partially apart. Rear handle/top cover in good shape.
I believe I have all the parts except for maybe a few fasteners.

The other saws I mentioned:

Husky 257. Was given this saw and upon cleaning it looks like ser# is partially defaced. I'm no thief, and won't sell anything stolen. So I need to check with local police chief first, or turn it over to him, before I'd be happy selling it.

A 4th 056, a 056M. This one looks nice, turns free, and is complete. Was told it runs but needs work on the oil pump. Still need to get pictures, pull muffler and check piston. Any interest in this I can try to get pictures ASAP, maybe tomorrow. Could try to put mix in and see if it fires but not tomorrow.

Unsure if I'm going to keep the early 064? I think it needs a coil and the dogleg one from the 046 I'm selling would work.

Things are OK. And You?

Fighting off bears and birds in the blueberries, and deer/chuck/rabbits in the garden. Have my bear and buck tags, hoping I get a doe tag too. They are screwing with me, so I look at it as fatting them up for harvest.

Owl decoys help with the birds, and the air rifle for the ground/tree rats chucks and bunnys
