You gave him the saw willingly. So its not theft or a crime in the sense that you can not take him to criminal court or have him arrested. The police can do nothing for you.

Theft is when something is taken without permission. For an item that is not returned after you gave it willingly you have to take him to civil court. I.E. the peoples court. Judge Wapner is your only hope or Judy I guess... I prefure Wapner, its four minutes to Wapner, its 1 minute to Wapner. RIP Wapner....

If referring to my situation...no, I didn't 'give him the saw willingly.' I won this full restore/port/rebuild as a raffle prize selection. The saw and various parts were donated/shipped to Jim by other members here, so he could do the full restore/port/rebuild, then ship me my saw. The saw was stated in text to be ready to ship to me on Jul 31. Then the f'n excuse train rolled into town...manual oiler problem, coil problem...both of which were supposedly taken care...also transcribed in text. And of course a million other excuses...transmission, dog *s-word his bed, cat got sick, ol' lady lost her job...and the list goes on and on, and f'n on! Then...it turned into the 'folks owe him money for parts and shipping deal' concerning my ProMac-700...and ain't nobody seen this 'parts list' that he's referring to.

I commented on quite a few YT vids last night. Doesn't take long if you copy and paste. I see a few of them are still there this morning. It would be really hard to get them all, especially if a lot of people are doing it. As active as he seems to be on there I bet he could be worn down. I know I'm a stubborn MF when it comes to people/businesses doing wrong.

I must say I’m baffled by these responses, since I sent Jim all kinds of money for my saw. He offered up a handle and the AV bushings from a “parts saw”, and said he didn’t want any money for them. I paid for most parts directly and had them shipped to Jim. I bought a bunch of hard to find parts from Acornhill on AS. I paid Mike @Glock37 for the powdercoating. @jacob j. sent him a good used crank, Jon1212 sent him the new decals. He bought the new wrap handle, but I sent him the money up front because he couldn’t afford to pay for it out of his own pocket.

I’m really not sure what parts he payed for that I didn’t compensate him for?

So Jim told me I am all paid up, but now he’s telling other people that I never compensated him for parts?

I have every text sent to or received from him, and he’s never once asked for reimbursement for said parts.

So this is great, and I love that it only took them 2 pages to get real with that kid. If I lived within a few hours I would be happy to park in front of this guys house for a few hours every night and lean on my car horn. I sure can't speak for anyone else but I'm confused why 2-3 members in the area (same state) showing up at his door isn't a viable option?
