I'll apologize in advance for a quick derail. I want a 28" bar on my husqvarna 394 and this is a great price. I know I would need the adapter that bailey's sells and possibly to lengthen the slot in the bar.

Stihl says 91DL on their 3003 28" and a 28" large husky mount bar says 93DL.

Would I need to match the bar's specs and run 91DL chain even on a husqvarna?

Sorry. I'm not trying to argue. The only way it's a 28" bar is if there aren't any dogs on the saw. Or a very small one. I'm not saying that I'm right, but out here we measure a bar by how much you can cut with it. It dose seem the longer the bar the closer you get to the cutting length with a set of large spikes.

I wouldn't worry about the length too much guys. I should have bought two. As always Howard's stuff is top notch, as advertised, and packed great.

I don't know if all are this way but mine was freshly dressed and has many more board feet in it.
