I have the same USC that is advertised on the right hand side of this page. It works really well, and it will get your cleaning solution very hot if you set it high enough. The drain also works very well.

Not bad Wayne. It softens/gums it up, but I use 50/50 purple power and water.

I bought Evinrude/Johnson auto tuner for a\carbon removal, but I've yet to use it.
What that look like? I haven't really found anything that looks safe enough to clean up a combustion chamber and I'm terrified of *f-wording one up.

I have cleaned cylinders in mine using LPS industrial cleaning solution and water at high heat for two 20 minute cycles. It still doesn't get all the carbon from the combustion chamber so I finished with brake parts cleaner and a stiff brush and that got the rest. Then a really good wash in the sink with Dawn and warm water, then rinse.

I just use Dawn and water. Couple cycles, hit the carbon with a brass brush no big deal. Not real good on accumulated oily gunk. Need to knock that off first.

I thought I remember reading that you need your Al and Mg parts fully submerged or the exposed portion will start to oxidize. ?

DO NOT PUT COLLECTIBLE COINS IN A USC unless of course you are looking to make pocket change.

I use a gallon of simple green with a couple gallons of water at 90 minutes on 50 degrees Celsius for cylinders and parts and put carbs completely disassembled in a mason jar full of sea foam and put the whole jar in the tank, remove and rinse and dry immediately for best results.

When you place the jar in the tank, do you place it in the basket, or directly on the bottom of the tank? I read somewhere that placing heavy objects on the bottom of the tank can cause them to rub a hole through the tank due to the sonic vibrations. Don't know if that is true or not.
