I have a dolmar ps540 that runs and a dolmar 111 (the European equivalent) parts saw. It comes with a 18” bar and two chains. The ps540 has a brand new walbro oem carb.

The 111 is a little rougher and has no carb, muffler and I’m not sure if the chain break works, but every thing else is there.

The 111 appears to be an early model like mine which needs a couple of brake parts.
Problem is one of the parts (plastic) is prone to breakage.
Assuming all the brake components are there and the black plastic "weight holder" is not broken, I may be interested.

Would it be easier to find a new style clutch cover with the new brake setup?

Shane,
That may be the route I have to take but another poster has indicated there’s more to it than just a newer cover. Looks like the newer lever by the handle would be needed as well and it has 2 attach points vs the one on early 111’s. Simple bolt on? Not sure yet.
