Does a large Stihl bar fit large husky other than the chain tension holes?
Have heard of adapter plates.

Large Stihl as in a 3002 mount?


And I've made adapters to fit a Stihl 3003 mount to a D009 out of stainless tube.

I could of been lol my memory has gone to hell lately after being blessed with twins 10 months ago.

So on the Stihl bars the 3002 fits the 880 and 076 monsters with like a 14mm slot and not that common. The 3003 fits the farmbosses and 024- 661 and is like 12mm which is what works well on the D009 "large husky" mount saw.

The 3005 is for the small saws. 170- 250


I bought the tubing off Amazon and used a pipe cutter.

You can buy adapters on eBay, I have a Stihl lightweight on my Dolmar 7900 which also takes the D009.

OK I think I'm getting this thanks to you folks.
I "think" the bar I have is Stihl 0025 mount. but still not sure where that number comes from.

The saw is 572.

The channel in bar needs ground forward OR longer chain than stamped dl on bar..

The adjuster holes need to be larger.

Buy adapter. The stainless tube idea I like, but have none.

Oiler hole location looks fine so far.

The bar slot is 12.3 mm high.
Studs on saw are 7.95 mm.
