Tsumura bar ?

Is this a thing with Tsumura bars?



36" bar on my mill. Been a few months since I used it. Looks like cracking of the clear coat and some rust starting.

Ya when they are used for a while the clear coat comes off. It starts flaking off in small area's first. It won't change the performance of bar, just its cosmetic look.

Never seen a rw on a mill. I didn't think that was their intended purpose. My sugi bar is doing the same thing BTW.

I didn't think it would affect performance. But it kind of sucks that a bar with not much run time is doing this.

Mike Lee sent me the link. It works fine. I don't think any bar is intended for milling per se.

Maybe, but there isn't any metal discoloration at the bar groove so it hasn't gotten super hot.

The clear on them doesn't hold up good. I've had a couple do that and start peeling from the edges.

Not much clear on this one but it works as good as new.

All 3 of my tsumuras had the clear coat flake off to some degree right away.

Mine is clear coat is chipping around the edges as well. I have not noticed any craking but I would guess it is from the milling process.
