It all depends on the design. There are both versions on the market. Why do you think we have LH and RH threaded heads? The rotation is usually the same just depends if a gear head is used or not. Straight drive usually rotates in the same direction as the motor and gear head are usually the opposite due to gearing.
As far if CCW or CW rotation also depends which way you're looking at the operation.
