Torx tools

I am looking to get some tooling to work on my saws and am looking to the board for recommendations, looking for quality as a first priority. I know I need a set of long t- handle torx and probably an 8mm long t-handle socket, but would like also long / extendes torx set with a minimum of t-25 & t-27

Ive been using the Bondhus long T handles for a long time. If i were to buy a set again, I'd go to Harbor Freight for Pittsburgh or Icon T handles especially considering HF has a lifetime warranty on these cheap tools. I have taken some busted tools into my local HF and every time they give me a new one no questions asked.

I have a cheap supermarket set, seems to work fine so far.

Get ones with the center hole!
Every now & then You will encounter a screw or bolt that requires it.

Only the yellow handled one has a center hole on the long end, the set has it only on the short ends.

Wiha makes excellent tools, they have been around for years. I have a lot of Wiha Torx T-handles and Torx bits.

I was wondering if anyone uses these in their battery powered driver- or something like it in their drill
I have seen folks taking apart saws with these type of long bits but never can tell if they are using a driver or a drill. If they are using a drill they must be cutting off the hex end.

I’ve used a drill to make things a bit quicker…. But I’d not recommend doing the bolts/screws up with a drill.

It’s way way too easy to cross thread or just forget to set the torque low enough and not strip the threads
..

I Asked myself too never be too lazy to use a drill to do up the bolts/screws ever again. The time saved isn’t worth the hassle of fixing stripped threads ever again

I knew they were rebranded but not who's they were. The Stens look to be the same thing, maybe others.

I've got a set of long 1/4 " torx bits that I use in a little impact driver or ratchet.

I vote for the Wiha.
I’ve had the harbor freight Allen wrench, t handle type round off.
I also have the Bondhus t handle Allen wrench t handle. Very good brand also.( harbor freight replacement)
